OkidoKey offers a unique in-app keyboard experience, featuring a plain text editor and a system-wide keyboard extension. This app provides an auto-copy Clipboard editor, facilitating typing without the need to create or open a document.

The keyboard extension supports multiple input methods, allowing users to type in English without switching keyboards. It incorporates features such as emoji support, lexicon options, spell-checks, predictions, and smart punctuation to enhance typing efficiency.

 <li>Utilizes smart punctuation features.</li>
 <li>Provides a homophones and phonetics lookup function.</li>
 <li>Supports both Traditional and Simplified Chinese output.</li>

Input Methods:

 <li>Optimized for Array input with full support for special and shortcode modes.</li>
 <li>Zhuyin input method compatibility includes standard, Et26, Et41, Hsu, and IBM keyboard layouts.</li>
 <li>Custom input methods like Boshiamy can be installed via CIN table files directly from the file browser.</li>

External Keyboard Support:
While external keyboards are not supported by the keyboard extension, users can utilize the Clip Pad in split-view mode as an intermediary input solution. With the auto-copy Clipboard feature, transitioning to another app allows for easy pasting of content using either the paste icon or CMD+V functionality.
